InvestSoc Trading Club
This year, I have been part of the JSE Portfolio of the InvestSoc Trading Club as a Portfolio Analyst. We have weekly discussions regarding the status of our portfolio and any investing news that could influence the direction of our investments, with the aim of outperforming benchmarks like the FTSI and having the best-performing portfolio overall.

BCG Case Competition
In June 2025, I participated in the UCTCC x BCG Case Competition. We were placed in teams of 4 and tasked with solving cases and then presenting our solution to a panel of judges. My team managed to place fifth out of 30 teams. The work ethic, enthusiasm and fun that my teammates brought to the table cemented my interest in consulting.
LinkedIn Learning Courses
To strengthen my practical finance knowledge, I’ve been completing LinkedIn Learning courses. I’ve finished Excel Essential Training course and am currently pursuing the Excel for Corporate Finance Professionals course, with plans to progress to Excel for Management Accounting and eventually Financial Modelling Foundations. I'm so grateful to be able to use the university's resources to upskill myself beyond my degree.
